The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra will get into the Christmas spirit on Dec. 8 when it accompanies a screening of Elf touring North America during the holiday season.

The film will be shown on a 12-metre screen at the Centennial Concert Hall while the WSO, led by tour conductor Ron Spigelman, will perform John Debney’s score along with the movie.

Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at centennialconcerthall.com. Prices were not announced.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the release of Elf, which stars Will Ferrell, James Caan, Zooey Deschanel, Peter Dinklage, Bob Newhart and Ed Asner.
