Police are at Lakewood Court in Manukau where a woman was found dead.

Police were called to an incident on Lakewood Court about 4.30am, detective inspector Shaun Vickers said in a statement.
A woman was found dead at the scene.

Police are knocking on residents’ doors at the Lakewood Plaza.
Another woman at the property has been arrested.
“While we are in the early stages of our inquiries we want to reassure the community we do not believe there to be an ongoing risk to the public,” Vickers said.
Cordons are in place around the property and a scene examination is underway.
“Further information will be provided when available.”
Lakewood Court is a retail area with restaurants, hotels, a gym and shops.
Police appear to be focusing their investigation on the seventh floor of the Lakewood Plaza, a residential building with 151 apartments.
Officers are currently inside, knocking on residents’ doors.
One resident told Stuff the rooms are “quite soundproof”.
“I didn’t hear anything last night, slept through the whole thing. Didn’t even wake to the sirens and all that.”
A resident who lives on the seventh floor said he believed the incident happened in a neighbouring apartment inhabited by a middle-aged man and woman.
However, he was asleep by 11pm and did not hear the incident.
A spokesperson for the building’s developer, the Du Val Group, said they did not know what happened but were “saddened to hear of the passing of a young woman”.
