A lunchtime concert at New Plymouth’s Methodist Centre will feature classical guitarist Chris Everest.

Lunchtime Concert, Methodist Centre (Whiteley Memorial Church), 12.15 – 12.50 pm, Wednesday, May 10

The second concert of the winter lunchtime concert series features classical guitarist, Chris Everest. Chris performed in a lunchtime concert last year. He is a graduate of the NZ School of Music and in August heads to an international classical guitar workshop in Spain before heading to England for Master’s study at the Royal Northern College of Music. He will perform a programme of solo classical guitar works, together with NZ compositions. Koha appreciated.

U3A New Plymouth’s May general meeting, 1.30pm at Brooklands Church, Bideford St, Wednesday, May 10

The guest speaker will be Bali Haque, honoured with an MNZOM for his work in the education sector and an NPDC Councillor, who will talk about changes in education and potential solutions to current problems.
