Boots ‘n All: 7pm at the Waimate Regent Theatre, hometown hero Kaylee Bell will perform. Visit kayleebellmusic.com for more information.

Friday and Saturday

Celebration: 7pm both nights at the Playhouse, Timaru, celebrating 10 years of the Ella Thomas Vocal Studio. Featuring performances by Thomas, Catherine Anderson, Georgia Carnegie, Julia Hogg, Cameron Lines and Macy Shields, and past and present students. Tickets available at iticket – Friday night $25, Saturday $35, including a free drink and nibbles from 5.30pm.

Saturday

A Right Royal Pudding Evening: 7pm at The Academy, Geraldine, a fun time out on the eve of the King’s coronation. Sample lots of sumptuous puddings and raise a glass to toast the King. Entry $20, $5 with a pudding. Vote for your favourite with coins, the pudding with the most coins at the end will win the pudding crown. An Anglican Parish of Geraldine fundraiser.

Sunday

Coronation Thanksgiving Service: 5pm at Timaru’s St Mary’s Church, a service in celebration of King Charles III, with the St Mary’s Parish and junior choirs and the Youth Orchestra of South Canterbury.

Coronation Service: 4pm at St Mary’s Church, Talbot St, Geraldine.

Mike Glover Exhibition: Until June 8. Stunning pastels from a well-known Canterbury artist. York Street Gallery of Fine Art – open Friday and Saturday 11am-3pm and by appointment.

Temuka Community Market: 10am to 1pm on Saturday at the town square, crafts, plants and a community stall selling fresh homegrown vegetables and more.

Timaru Artisan Farmers’ Market: 9am to 12.30pm, on Saturday at 2 George St. A range of stalls including arts, crafts and plants.

Geraldine Farmers’ Market: 9am to noon on Saturday at the St Mary’s Church carpark, Talbot St.

Waimate Community Market: 9am to 12 noon on Saturday at Seddon Sq in Waimate.

Aigantighe Art Gallery: Open noon to 4pm, Saturday and Sunday.

South Canterbury Museum: 1pm to 4.30pm, Saturday and Sunday with free admission. Two floors of exhibitions relating to local nature, history and culture. Latest exhibition The Royal Connection.

South Canterbury Genealogy Society: 1.30 to 3.30pm, every Sunday at the South Canterbury Museum. Members will be at the museum to assist other people with their family history queries.

Geraldine Craft and Produce Market: 8.30am to 3.30pm every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday in Cox St.
