Clear skies can now be seen in Auckland after the central city experienced thick fog in the morning – it was clear skies in the north and south of Auckland.
The MetService reported a temperature of 9.5C shortly before 9am, with thick fog in the city central. The temperature rose to 11C by 9.40 am.
Aucklanders should expect a “pretty decent day” with a high of 16C, MetService meteorologist Andrew James said.
“There could be the odd shower but more around West Auckland and there won’t be much wind,” he said.
