Worksafe New Zealand has prosecuted TPL Access Limited for failing to protect its workers on the job.

A 54-year-old who fell nearly four metres onto concrete has been paid $43,000 in reparations by his former employer, who Worksafe found was responsible for the man’s extensive injuries.

The man was replacing a roof at Auckland’s Glenfield Intermediate School in midJanuary 2020 when he tried to steady himself on a poorly installed guardrail, and fell from the roof.
