Police have arrested one person at an Auckland shopping centre on Tuesday.
A photo posted on social media showed three police vehicles assembled on the top floor of the Westfield St Lukes shopping centre car park after 9am.
“About 10 police cars with armed officers drove around the top [of the St Lukes car park],” a bystander said.
“They got him and it was over pretty quickly.
“There were no sirens or anything.”
Officers had left the mall by 10.30am and shoppers were going about their business.
No damage could be seen to any shops.
Police have been approached for comment.
The incident comes after the Stewart Dawsons jewellery shop at the mall was burgled in September.
MORE TO COME.
