One lucky winner took home millions after Lotto’s Powerball draw on Wednesday.
One lucky punter has taken home $6.5 million after Lotto’s midweek Powerball draw.
The ticket, which was bought in Lower Hutt, was the only one to win the first division Powerball prize, so the winner won’t have to share the purse.
The winning ticket was sold at Pak ‘n Save Petone in Lower Hutt.
The prize is made up of $6 million from Powerball First Division and $500,000 from Lotto First Division.

There was, however, one other person who won the first division prize and will pocket $500,000.
That ticket was sold at Pak ‘n Save in Thames.
A dozen Kiwis have officially become multi-millionaires through Lotto this year.
