It’s not often you find a former national captain coaching a children’s sports team, but ice hockey is not just Simon Glass’s passion – it’s a family tradition.
The former Ice Blacks captain is a third-generation ice hockey player in Queenstown, Otago.
The talented sportsman now plays coach to his two daughters, passing on his skills and continuing his family’s almost-100-year tradition.
Kea Kids News reporter Maya Broadbent, 10, from Remarkables Primary School, caught up with Simon and his daughters, Willa and Coco, to find out why they’re so mad about the sport.
