Former 90210 and Sharknado star Ian Ziering is calling for “decisive action against lawlessness” after being involved in a street brawl in Los Angeles.

The actor was seen in a video obtained by TMZ battling with a group of mini-bikers. The 59-year-old is seen shoving one person before several others approach him.

Ziering took to Instagram to recount his side of the “alarming incident”.

“While stuck in traffic, my car was approached aggressively by one of these riders, leading to an unsettling confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage, I exited my car.

“This action, unfortunately, escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself,” wrote Ziering.

”I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unscathed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups who disrupt public safety and peace.”

Ziering wants better law enforcement responses, calling the behaviour “unacceptable”.

“This incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety. We must address the underlying issues that lead to such disruptive behaviour and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone.”

LA police are said to be investigating.

Ziering rose to fame in the 1990s teen series Beverly Hills, 90210 playing Steve Sanders. He later became a cult star in the Sharknado series.
