Gayle Broughton has made the switch from sevens to league after moving to Australia in March.
Olympic gold medallist Gayle Broughton has switched codes after moving across the Tasman.
The Parramatta Eels announced on Wednesday that the 25-year-old had been included in the 22-strong squad for the upcoming NRLW season.
The team is coached by Dean Widders, with pre-season beginning in July and competition in August.
The Taranaki-born Broughton made a surprising move in March when she announced on social media that she was quitting the Black Ferns sevens squad and shifting to Australia.

She was part of the New Zealand sevens team that captured Olympic gold in Tokyo last year. She also won a World Cup and the Commonwealth Games during her brief but hugely successful career.
After arriving in Sydney Broughton started playing for the Mount Prichard Mounties, a feeder club for the Parramatta Eels.
It is believed Broughton, who made her debut in the black jersey in 2014 at just 18, and scored 315 points in 112 World Series matches for the Black Ferns, is unlikely to return to New Zealand in the foreseeable future.
Broughton was named co-winner, along with Michaela Blyde, of the Taranaki Daily News Person of the Year for 2021 for her efforts in Tokyo.
