Nye, known for his popular science television show, is set to take the stage at Toronto’s Meridian Hall in March as part of his five-city Canadian tour.

Bill Nye, the American engineer and educator most known for his popular science television show “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” is set to launch a five-city Canadian tour later this month.
The scientist, beloved by multiple generations of students, will appear at Toronto’s Meridian Centre (formerly known as the Sony Centre) on March 29 at 8 p.m.
Tickets currently up for grabs on Ticketmaster’s website range from $58 to upwards of $270 each for VIP packages.
Nye is also hosting shows in Kitchener (March 27), Hamilton (March 28), Vancouver (June 20) and Calgary (June 21).
He announced the tour in a promotional video posted to his Instagram account in January.
“Greetings Canada! Bill Nye here. I’ll be in your fine nation in just a few weeks,” he said, sporting his signature suit and tie. “We’ll be talking about climate change. We’ll be talking about the natural disasters I just did a television show about. And we’ll be talking about how we can make the world better for everyone — with what? — with science.”
Nye recently launched a new television series, “The End is Nye,” where he explores the world’s most epic disasters. Throughout his career, Nye has also written several educational books. He currently serves as the CEO of the Planetary Society, the world’s largest space-interest group.
