A man has been arrested after a series of rubbish bins were set on fire in a south Auckland suburb.
Emergency services were kept busy dealing with the fires, but there were no reports of serious damage or injuries.
The fires all happened within an hour on Sunday morning in Otara.
The incidents began at 6.56am, when Fire and Emergency NZ were called to a recycling bin fire on Alexander Crescent.

One crew attended to put out the blaze and left at 7.23am, a Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.
But at 7.24am fire crews were called to reports of multiple skip bins on fire on Kew Lane.
Two fire crews attended to extinguish the fires.
At 7.40am, Fire and Emergency was alerted to a person lighting fires on Bairds Rd in Otara.
Two fire trucks responded, but they were able to leave the scene by 7.53am.
At 7.42am, Fire and Emergency was called to another rubbish fire, this time on Newbury St.
Another two fire trucks responded and managed to have the fire out by 8.13am.
A man had since been charged and was due to appear in the Manukau District Court on Monday, a police spokesperson said.
