Visitors will not be allowed at a South Canterbury rest home over Queen’s Birthday Weekend, following the confirmation of Covid-19 in the facility.
Visitation at Radius Elloughton Gardens, in Timaru, has been “paused” due to the confirmation of Covid-19, with about 10 residents, “some being recent cases and some soon coming out of quarantine,’’ affected a spokesperson for the rest home said.
“We have robust policies and practices in place, are working according to Ministry of Health guidelines, and are doing everything we can to keep our residents and staff safe and comfortable,” they said.
