Turn up your volume (and maybe grab some tissues) before you hit play on the new official trailer for Marvel’s upcoming film “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” set for release in theatres on Nov. 11.

The 130 second clip, which arrived Monday, provides fans with the first extended look at the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018’s immensely popular “Black Panther.” The clip also provides clues to how the franchise will move forward without the beloved lead actor Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 from colon cancer.

In addition to offering a better glimpse at the villain Namor (played by Tenoch Huerta) and his underwater kingdom of Atlantis, the trailer also features a brief look at the new Black Panther, who appears to be a woman. Many fans are speculating that the new masked hero is Shuri, Princess of Wakanda (played by Letitia Wright).

The trailer is partially soundtracked by the song “Never Forget” by the Zambian rapper Sampa the Great, featuring Chef 187, Tio Nason, and Mwanjé. The artist responded to the trailer on Twitter.

Director Ryan Coogler — whose credits include “Black Panther,” “Creed” and “Fruitvale Station” — will once again be at the helm for “Wakanda Forever.”

Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Florence Kasumba, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett and Martin Freeman will all reprise their roles. They will be joined by Huerta, along with Mabel Cadena, Alex Livinalli, Dominique Thorne and Michaela Coel.

Marvel previously released a teaser trailer in July, which racked up 172 million views in just 24 hours.

Here is a look at what fans are saying about the thrilling and emotional trailer.
